Prior to the Decemhotfix of the 2021 Holiday Update, all items and sets did not have a rarity rating, gave the same amount of style points, had a cost of 2,000 for a set and 500 badges for an item, and a bonus of 500 style points for a completed set.
When all 5 items in a set have been obtained, the corresponding 2D icon is unlocked. Outside of the garage, style points are only shown in the pre-race cutscene and serve no other purpose. Purchasing new items grants style points. A set is only purchasable with Tokens (with a discount being applied if any of the 5 items were purchased separately) while individual items are purchasable with Multiplayer Badges or Tokens.
